| It's finally here—what you've all been waiting for, the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7's . . . logo. Yes, Chevrolet has revealed the updated crossed-flags badge that will adorn the hood of the all-new 2014 Vette. Disappointed? Don't be. Instead, prepare to re-fire your Corvette excitement, at least on a slight delay: Chevy has announced that the redesigned Vette will debut January 13, 2013, the night before the Detroit auto show opens.
Chevrolet's announcement gives away two previously unknown clues about America's sports car. The first is that it will wear this new logo, which features a more intricate design than the outgoing Vette's piece. Second, we now know just how many parts are shared between the C6 Corvette and the new C7. The answer is two: the cabin air filter and the rear latch for the removable roof panel. Despite the almost non-existent parts sharing between the C6 and C7, we expect the new model to wear largely evolutionary styling, based on myriad spy photos we've seen of C7 prototypes, as well as leaked supplier video of the car's front and rear fascias.
