2013 Ram 1500

Update 9/11: EPA fuel-economy ratings for the entire 2013 Ram 1500 lineup have been released. Before, only figures for the rear-drive, V-6 1500 had been made available. That model is rated for 17 mpg in the city and 25 on the highway; the four-wheel-drive V-6 1500 gives up 1 mpg in the city and 2 on the highway. The 1500′s top-dog 5.7-liter Hemi V-8′s efficiency in either drive configuration goes unchanged—rear-drive models are again rated for 14/20 and four-wheel-drive rigs for 13/19.

The 2013 1500 will start at $23,585 for a rear-drive, regular-cab Tradesman model equipped with a 310-hp, 4.7-liter V-8 and a six-speed automatic. Compared to last year's truck, the new 1500′s base price is slightly higher, and although the prices for most trim levels barely increase, Laramie-spec 1500s are slightly cheaper. Read full story »
