Recall Alert: 2007-2011 Honda Element

2007-honda-element
Honda is recalling 5,216 model-year 2007-2011 versions of the Element SUV due to problems with the trailer hitch wiring harness, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The affected vehicles are equipped with an accessory trailer hitch wiring harness that has faulty wiring. On these vehicles, the turn signals on the trailer only illuminate when the brakes are applied. This could lead to an accident.

Honda will notify owners starting Sept. 20, and dealers will replace the affected parts free of charge. Owners can call Honda at 800-999-1009 or NHTSA's vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 for more info.
