Nissan Looking At Stateside Murano Production

Nissan makes 90 percent of all Muranos in Japan, but 70 percent of them get exported to the United States. Making them Stateside should be a no brainer, right?

With Nissan attempting to move as much production as possible out of Japan, the Murano looks like a prime candidate for Stateside production  Automotive News is reporting that the Murano will join its platform-mates the Altima and Maxima, as well as the Rogue, at Nissan's Smyrna, TN plant. The changeover will happen when the next-gen car arrives in 2014.
