I, For One, Welcome Our One-Wheeled Electric Motorcycle Overlords

The Segway was supposed to be the future of urban transportation, but here's a better idea:

The RYNO is an electric, gyro-balanced unicycle. As you can see in the video, it seems to work perfectly well. It's limited to about twenty miles per hour, but in the "30 Zones" of the not-so-distant future, it's perfectly competitive with traffic. The 20-mile range isn't great, but when you think of it as "across Manhattan and back, plus a lunch trip" it becomes more sensible. Pricing is projected at $4500, and while a good bicycle can be had for a third of that amount, the RYNO promises a sweat-free urban commute — at least when it's not July.
