Reuters takes a look at GM's dominance in the former Soviet Republic, where 94 percent of of new cars sold last year were manufactured by The General. GM's plant in a remote region of the country is considered to be a cornerstone of the country's plan to modernize, rather than continue to export raw materials like cotton. Workers at the plant are said to be trained in South Korea, which hardly seems coincidental given that GM's most popular models in the country, the Chevrolet Matiz and Nexia, are Daewoo products. Reuters reports that Uzbekistan is now GM's eighth-largest market, and their Uzbeki joint venture will produce 250,000 cars in 2012. But not all is
