200-Proof LeMons Photo: Penalty-Box Nightmare in South Carolina

The part the spectators like best about the 24 Hours of LeMons—not counting the excitement of witnessing an MGB dueling with an Olds 98 for the Class C win, of course—is the action in the Penalty Box. A driver who spins, goes careening off into the weeds, or hits another car might end up dressing like the Village People and dancing to "Macho Man", trying to distinguish between a '73 Ambassador and a '74 Matador in the AMC Flash Card Penalty, or maybe even removing the crankshaft from a junk Chevy small-block. The latter is what's happening in this 200-Proof LeMons photo from the 2010 Southern Discomfort race, with a helmeted driver staring in disbelief at the engine while my commands have the miscreant driver in the background clutching his head in dismay.
