The all-new five-passenger 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport — not to be confused with the seven-passenger 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe — will start at $25,275, including an $825 destination fee, when it goes on sale later this summer. The larger Santa Fe's pricing will be announced at a later date.
The thoroughly redesigned 2013 Santa Fe Sport is $1,225 more expensive than the outgoing 2012 Santa Fe, which was long in the tooth at this point and one of the last models that needed a transformation in Hyundai's lineup. Standard equipment includes the 2.4-liter engine and six-speed automatic transmission from the Sonata sedan, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlight accents, body-colored side mirrors, satellite radio with USB input, Bluetooth connectivity and Hyundai's Blue Link communication system. Optional equipment includes all-wheel drive with models starting at $27,025, and numerous option packages detailed below.
The 2013's optional turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine makes 264 horsepower and is also borrowed from the Sonata. The engine is more efficient, and expensive, than the outgoing 276-hp V-6. Choosing the Santa Fe Sport 2.0T with turbocharged four-cylinder and front-wheel drive bumps pricing to $28,525, a $2,575 increase over the 2012's optional V-6 with front-wheel drive. The 2.0T also adds 19-inch wheels, dual exhaust and smart key entry with push-button start. Adding all-wheel drive brings 2.0T pricing to $30,275.
