| We see a lot of engine failures in the 24 Hours of LeMons, a countless number of which occur when connecting rods feel compelled to escape the confines of their engine blocks. So many, in fact, that we've got a collection of LeMons thrown-rod desktop wallpapers for your computer. Yes, you could say that it's rainin' rods at many LeMons races; we find engine innards on the track, in the infield weeds, and scattered around the paddock, but at the recent Sears Pointless race, a quick-snapping photographer managed to capture an errant connecting rod in the act of fleeing an Alfa Romeo Twin Cam engine.
