| Everything in Michigan slows down between November and April: our metabolism, our fellow drivers, and our mileage accumulation on long-term cars. Perhaps because this has been a mild winter, though, that last one hasn't been as much of a problem as usual. Our Mini Countryman, now at 27,454 miles, actually increased its rate of mileage accrual once the trees stripped naked. We even ventured out of the state on a couple of occasions, heading down to VIR with a load of gear for Lightning Lap and, um, all the way down to Ohio. Otherwise, the Mini performed in-state duty, which highlights what a bummer this winter has been for people who like snow. (Show of hands?)
