| The 2013 Volkswagen GTI gains two limited editions in its final year before a redesigned 2014 Golf and higher-performance GTI go on sale. It's not an enthusiastic sendoff as the GTI Wolfsburg Edition and Driver's Edition include minor interior appointments and unique wheel designs. Both limited editions are four-door GTIs only — not the two door GTI — and paint choices are limited to Candy White, Carbon Steel Gray and Deep Black. More 2013 Chicago Auto Show Coverage Driver's Edition GTIs cost $30,490 with the manual transmission and add the Laguna wheels, golf-ball shifter, red-stitched floormats and partial leather seat covers to a GTI already equipped with the Sunroof and Navigation Package. Automatic transmission examples are priced at $31,590. Sans Driver's Package, a similarly equipped GTI is $29,340 with a manual transmission. GTI Driver's Editions go on sale early in the second quarter of this year. Only a limited number of the 2013 GTI's special editions are planned for production: 2,000 Wolfsburg Editions and 3,000 Driver's Editions. Choose the Driver's Package and buyers also receive a Certificate of Authenticity in case your friends question the legitimacy of your Driver's Edition, plus GTI gear including a hat, keychain and parking sign. from KickingTires http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/ | |||
