Lamborghini Hypes Urus SUV Concept Debut with Bizarre Video [Release the Kraken]

A New Born Lamborghini

Lamborghini has released a video entitled "A New Born Lamborghini: The Channeling of the Four Elements," and the company says it's a preview for a model—a.k.a. its Urus SUV concept—that will debut in Beijing next week. Unlike most other "teaser" videos, however, not a single image of the car is shown—not even a wheel center or fog lamp. Instead, four CGI humanoid "elements"—Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water—stir from apparent slumber, flex their muscles a little bit, and then crash into one another, resulting in a blinding flash of light. This is the way of Lamborghini's world, apparently.

We have absolutely no idea what the video or the four elemental monsters have to do with Lamborghini's second SUV, but Lambo's lightweight Sesto Elemento concept was said to represent a sixth element (hence its name): the company's fancy forged composite material.

Maybe the SUV is actually Lambo's fifth element—if that's the case, then someone should call Bruce Willis, because an interstellar evil empire may try to destroy it. Or maybe give Captain Planet a jingle, although that could mean the Urus represents the Heart element, which doesn't make any sense. The elemental dudes in the video are clearly not in a hugging mood.

Whatever Lamborghini is going for in this clip, we'll get to see the company's second SUV (after the "Rambo Lambo" LM002) in the coming days. In the meantime, enjoy the hugely bizarre video below.
