Full Pricing Announced for 2013 Acura ILX

2013 Acura ILX

Acura has released full pricing for its new Civic-based ILX compact sedan. Read on for itemized equipment and pricing information, and be sure to check out our freshly published first-drive review here.

Standard equipment for all ILX models includes manually adjustable cloth seats, dual-zone auto climate control, keyless entry with pushbutton start, and an infotainment setup that integrates Pandora internet radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and a text-messaging function. A power sunroof and 16-inch aluminum wheels are also included.

The $26,795 entry-level ILX uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that funnels a meager 150 hp through a five-speed automatic. (A six-speed unit likely would have helped economy; check out the EPA numbers below.) Spring for the $3300 Premium package, and the none-too-hasty luxury compact will be fitted with leather upholstery, heated front seats, an upgraded audio system with satellite radio, a rearview camera, 17-inch wheels, and an active noise-cancellation system. A $2200 Technology package can be ordered as well, and brings surround-sound audio, navigation with voice recognition, and a 60-gig hard drive for music and navigation data storage. On 2.0-liter models, you must first order the Premium package before you can add the Technology bundle.

The $29,795 ILX hybrid can't be ordered with the Premium package alone. Instead, the 111-horse gas/electric (it uses the Civic hybrid's powertrain) can be upfitted with a Technology pack that also bundles all the Premium goodies—save the 17-inch wheels—for the full $5500 combined price. That pushes its sticker over $35K, at which point we'd be in some other showroom; that kind of money for that little power is not our idea of a wise investment.

Those looking for a bigger kick in the pants can opt for a 2.4-liter, 201-hp four-cylinder engine mated exclusively to a six-speed manual for $30,095. It includes all of the Premium goodies as standard and costs the same $3300 more than the base car, so it's like getting 51 hp and a far more rewarding transmission for free.

Here's the condensed version, including EPA city/highway mileage estimates:

  • ILX: $26,795, 24/35
  • ILX with Premium package: $30,095, 24/35
  • ILX with Technology package: $32,295, 24/35
  • ILX 2.4L with Premium package: $30,095, 22/31
  • ILX hybrid: $29,795, 39/38
  • ILX hybrid with Technology package: $35,295, 39/38
